About the Project

It was a big project which was born from an absolutely own idea. But during the project several people helped with my work.
I wanted to create a big summary album about the ancient archeological treasures from the Capathian Basin.

First I wanted to buy a book like this, but I didn't find such a summary book about this topic.
After the idea presented itself, I was trying to establish contact to the hungarian museums to cooperate with them.
The preparations took two years and the whole project took six years.
My concept was to take new, trendy and aesthetical photos of the artifacts.
I organised the cooperation between 30 museums of the area. I took over 30 000 photos, selected 2000 from them, and made the afterworks to fit them into the book.
I was the lead editor of the content structure, and I designed the whole book.
The descriptions and articles about the archaelogical and historical eras were written by famous and acknowledged hungarian archaeologist and museologist of the Hungarian National Museum, Hungarian Academy of Sciences, Eötvös Loránd University and from other museums.
The scientific editor was a young archaelogist from the Hungarian National Museum.
The book was published in 2015.

In 2016 this book won 4 important award on the acknowledged "Beautiful Hungarian Book Competition" organised by the Hungarian Publishers' and Booksellers' Association:
- Special Award of the Prime Minister
- Special Award of the Minister of Human Capacities
- Special Award of the Audience
- Award in the Art book category
