World Capital of Architecture logo concept 2019
I made this work for an international logo competition, launched by UNESCO & UIA (International Union of Architects). In my 1st concept from the beginning of the design I tried to create an exciting alloy from the WCA monogram and a perfect geometric form. This was the reason why I chose the cube shape and the centered spatial view of the regular hex. Using this as a surrounding shape, I created the letters of the WCA monogram. Meanwhile, I was thinking that somehow Escher's geometric paradox would have to be incorporated into the simple geometric shapes. This is how the final form of my first concept has developed.
